2nd Annual Casting for Hope Fall Showdown at the Retreat Center

The Casting for Hope Fall Showdown at the Retreat Center is set for October October 5-6. This team event will be a Silver level event in Casting for Hope's 2019 series leaderboard, meaning each angler's finish will have a multiplier of two. This is a competitor-controlled event. Each team will fish four sessions and judge four sessions.The entry for this event will open to the first 16 two-person teams to enter and pay their registration fee of $200 per team, or $100 per angler.

This two-day, two-man-team event will be a competitor-controlled tournament taking place October 5-6. As you may know, Casting for Hope doesn't do many competitor-controlled tournaments, so this is a great opportunity not only to get to fish the Retreat Center private water for two straight days but also an opportunity to learn from and watch other anglers through the competitor-controlled format.

While we will use FIPs scoring, the fishing rules will be the same as our Cherokee Classic--strike indicators, lead, tying from the bend or eye of hooks, both anglers fishing at the same time...all will be allowed. Hooks MUST be debarbed. The field will be limited to the first 16 teams to register (there are already two teams signed up!). The entry fee is $100 per person, and team payment is due within 48 hours of signing up by PayPal to [email protected].

For those who would like to camp, the Retreat Center property will be at your disposal to pitch a tent and enjoy Friday and Saturday evenings around a fire at no cost. Additionally, for the first four anglers to request it by return e-mail, the Bunkhouse at the Retreat Center can be reserved for $50 for the weekend for each angler using it for lodging. There are two bunk bed sets, a kitchenette, and a full shower. Casting for Hope will provide a lunch on Saturday. All other meals are the responsibility of anglers.
