13th Annual Casting for Hope

TOURNAMENT INFO:

The 13th Annual Casting for Hope, a "gold-level" competition that has recruited many of the best anglers from all over the country, is set for April 12-14, 2024. The tournament is hosted at the Casting for Hope Retreat Center, which features two miles of private trophy water on Little and Big Rock Creek in Mitchell County, North Carolina. This private water has been featured on The Outdoor Channel, and it has served as a great venue for this important event over the years.

As in years past, the Casting for Hope tournament will make use of not only the private trophy waters of Little Rock Creek and Big Rock Creek but also the delayed harvest streams nearby, Cane River in Burnsville and the North Toe River in Spruce Pine, with a two-week no fishing window. Fishermen will have 10 hours of fishing time--two hours on each stretch of water. Scoring will be Fips Mouche. Practice water includes the Hatchery Supported stretches of the North Toe in Spruce Pine, the Delayed Harvest stretches of the Catawba River in Marion, and the South Toe River near Burnsville, NC. This event will remain competitor controlled for 2024.

This year, we are moving away from the Google Forms that we have used in the past for registration. Now, you will register directly right here on the tournament website. There will be no registration of full teams on one form as in the past. Rather, each team member can register themselves–or one person from each team can register each person individually. The following will be required fields for registration: Name, Email, Phone Number, Emergency Contact, a Photo, Mailing Address, and Shirt Size. “Team name” and “any other information” fields are not required for registration submission. So please ensure that you have a photo for your hero badge at the ready–or if you are registering multiple people from your team that you have those photos handy-as you will not be able to complete your registration without them. Please see the attached screenshots of the registration form so that you will be familiar with it when it goes live at 5:00pm on Sunday, January 28, 2024.

The $200 entry fee per angler should be made to Casting for Hope by PayPal contribution to [email protected] or a quick e-mail upon entry to [email protected] requesting an invoice to pay check or debit card.
